Application and admission
Are you looking forward to studying Global Communication Science after reading the information? Enrol in time! The application process differs, depending on whether you have completed your prior education in the Netherlands or abroad, see the steps below.

I have Dutch prior education
If you have obtained or will obtain a diploma or degree certificate from a Dutch educational institution (VWO-diploma or HBO-propaedeutic diploma), you can follow the application procedure via the link below. The final deadline is 1 May.

I have international prior education
- Make sure to select 'Global Communication Science' in Studielink and not 'Communication Science'. How to access Studielink is explained in the application procedure (button below).
- The advisory deadline for all students with international prior education is 1 April.
- If you require a visa and/or housing through the UvA we strongly urge you to apply before 1 April. For applications submitted after 1 April we cannot guarantee you can start immigration and/or housing procedures in time.
- The final deadline for all applicants is 1 May.
- UvA Matching: After you have been conditionally admitted to the programme, you have to register for the Online Programme Fit through the Enrolment Checklist in SIS.
